Behind the lens!

Hey hey! I’m Abby — I’m the girl behind the lens! I’m a recent Baylor University graduate with a background in business and a love for all things creative. From photography and painting, to hosting elaborate events, and creating meaningful experiences — finding the beauty in the little things has always been a massive part of who I am.

I picked up my first camera in high school, and what started as a quiet hobby, and an effort to follow in my mom’s footsteps, turned into a passion, and something I truly ended up loving. During college, I began offering photo sessions, and quickly learned how much I enjoyed capturing people’s biggest milestones and moments. I loved the storytelling that comes through photography — documenting the excitement of graduation, the joy of friendships, the height of emotion during engagements, and everything in between!

While I attended Baylor, I also worked for 2 years at Baylor Roundup Yearbook, and served as a photographer, then Photo Editor. Through this experience, I was given the opportunity to explore several aspects of photography, including concerts, campus events and student life, and sports photography. Sports photography, particularly photographing basketball, quickly became one of my favorite types of events to capture. The energy of the stadium, and the raw emotion of the players and spectators, is a feeling that truly cannot be beat.

I’m now based in Friendswood, just outside of Houston, and I would love to be part of capturing and telling your story in a way that is timeless and genuine. At Abigail Paige Studios, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, confident, and completely yourself. Every session is meant to feel effortless, relaxing, and fun — no experience behind the camera is needed. Just show up as you, and I’ll take care of the rest!

Let’s tell your story together!

A PEEK INTO MY WORLD

Ahh so happy you’re here!

When I don’t have a camera in hand, you’ll probably find me sipping an iced tea (my 4th one of the day), hosting an elaborately themed dinner party, spending time with family, or watching just about anything Jane Austen. In fact, the photo of the bridge was taken at Stourhead, the filming location in Pride and Prejudice where Darcy proposes to Lizzie in the rain. If you can’t tell, I’m a huge fan.

I am the the oldest of 4, although it may not look like it, I blinked and they’re all taller than me now. I have 2 sisters, a brother, and a dog named Po — yes, after Kung Fu Panda, our family’s favorite film.

I love all things adventurous, whether that’s traveling somewhere new, doing something dare devil-y, or trying something new. Life is meant to be fun, and I try to bring that energy to every shoot!

Fun fact: Before I ever picked up a camera, painting, drawing, and in general, creating with textiles was my first love. I’ve been creating since I could pick up a pen, and I started painting with watercolor when I was a freshman in high school.

When I was a senior in high school, my art teacher (shout out Mrs. Wise!), hired me to paint the houses that she sold, and I’ve been selling my work and doing commissions ever since! My business is AJDesign Company.

More recently, I’ve been trying to paint a little more for myself, and the places I travel to. This painting is one I did from my recent trip to the UK with my mom. This is Durdle Door, a beautiful rock formation off the Jurassic Coast in England.

Abigail Paige Studios’ rebrand is meant to reflect growth, creativity, and a clearer vision for the future. It’s meant to reflect AP Studios’ focus on storytelling through photography. Every creative decision was made with intention, and care. While the look may be a bit different, the heart behind the camera remains the same; capturing genuine moments, telling meaningful stories, and creating an experience that allows every client to feel seen and their most authentic.
